Abstract

This short article reviews the various situations which affect the awarding (or not awarding) of attorney's fees in regard to cases involving copyright litigation. Various details will affect this, such as whether the work was registered with the Copyright Office before the case was filed, whether a party did in fact prevail, if a plaintiff voluntarily dismissed its copyright action, or whether a suit was frivolous or vexatious, among others.
