Abstract

Every business differs in its nature and approach to its destination thereby ending up with unavoidable problems in the run. When the automation concept was introduced there was a kind of large skepticism about the overall workability of the concept. Later, witnessing some islands of excellence the adoption started with a big boom. In recent times the technological evolutions with virtualization, cloud computing has come a long way. Business enterprises would always prefer an alternative that would enhance them to serve clients. In case of IT solutions, the after sales service like maintenance of system error debugging are the selling points for a company that offers solution. Whenever an IT solution contract is signed between two entities, it reflects the business interests of the client company kept in the hands of the consultant company that handles the task. So the customer will be monitoring the progress of processes that happen when a system is being installed. The cloud computing concept has to wait until it gets accepted in a wider scale. Presently there are certain players who have sighted some opportunities and entered this field. This article gives a technical insight of cloud computing and also analyses the marketing strategy of the key players in the area of cloud computing services. The opportunities of adopting cloud computing in government bodies, SMEs are numerous that leads to economic development and creation of large, better skilled, digitally literate workers pool. This paper tries to portray the IT investment behavior of the firms in volatile times and also emphasizes the advantages of cloud computing implementation in government organizations, SMEs and also empowerment of rural community of a nation.
