Abstract

Personality and culture are regarded as important factors with regard to the decision to start a business. This paper summarizes which personality factors lead an individual to start a business. In a next step, the paper discusses empirical evidence about the occurrence of these personality traits in Germany. The paper closes with a discussion as to whether the German school system is beneficial to the development of personality traits needed to start a business.
