Abstract
The study is based on stories collected on 2007/2008 for some Palestinian workers who work illegally in Israel. What distinguishes this study is that it is constructed on the way these workers live and narrate their experiences. Therefore, one of the objectives of the study is to offer space for workers to talk about themselves. Proceeding from the hypothesis which says that there is a strong connection between the self narration and the identity construction, this paper aims to clarify some central features of these workers’ experiences, through the way they express these experiences. Through these features, we can understand the collective experience that distinguishes them from other Palestinians, which is the experience of hegemony and exposure that foremost affects their imagination about their dignity.
