Creation of Residual Communities

Abstract

This paper introduces the term of residual communities. It seeks to explain what the structure and operation of such communities are like, and why it is proper to pay attention to such communities at the same time we are experiencing the current global financial and economic crisis. Importantly, the paper focuses on transcendentally substantiated residual communities. This means that, according to the paper, it is not enough to refer to the micro aspect of the social conduct and to the principle of reciprocity that is to complement the equivalence principle applicable to market-oriented deals. Real openness and sociability cannot be reached even within the chains of reciprocity-founded giving unless the participants of residual communities are able to go beyond the realm of immanent values. Openness can eventually be secured by way of reference to spirituality.
