Abstract
The UK economy has not performed strongly since emerging from recession at the end of 2009, while at the same time public sector cuts have yet to really take their toll. With the Government encouraging new and small businesses to boost activity and jobs, we examine whether the UK is still a good place to do business, and the precise role that entrepreneurs and SMEs play in driving long-term growth.
