Suhaib bin Sinan

Abstract

This is a brief life-sketch of devoted companion of the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The way how Suhaib of Rome was absorbed in the Muslim society and how great honour did he command in that, gives a clear idea how Islam eminently succeeded in dismantling the geographical barriers and leveling the distinction of caste, creed and colour and establishing the society on the basis of righteousness and piety.The life events of those who were before me are recorded for the guidance of the new generations so that they may remain aware of the difficulties of life and learn how to tackle them legitimately and without causing any injustice to any one. God is creator of all and His kindness and mercy is for all. As the sun rises for all so the guidance of God is for all. God has blessed with mind and heart i.e. reason and feeling. As a rational being we may test and verify all around us and find the truth from the falsehood, love from the hatred, justice from the oppression, humanity from inhumanity. The lead is to be taken by the man himself to wards the truth and ways go on opening. Actions are to be adjudged according to the intention behind them. Awareness come by Knowledge; knowledge comes by sight, hearing and feeling. Hence all these three faculties are to be used carefully as there is accountability concerning them. Subaib proved tot he test and was blessed in all respects.
