Abstract

Questions about what design is, and whether design should have a place in education, are ultimately questions about what a University is. In this paper, I argue that ‘design’ which belongs to educational curriculums must be researched inclusively. Such inclusive design research will yield a science of design that crosses into the disciplines of ethics and of theology, and would imply that the latter should have a place in the University curriculum.
