Abstract

This is a commentary on Stacy Burns’ article “The Name of the Game Is Movement: Concession Seeking in Judicial Mediation of Large Money Damage Cases.” Burns’ article addresses mediation work involving large money damage cases including practice by judge-mediators (J-Ms). Press reviews this article from the viewpoint of a director of a large, comprehensive court-connected mediation program. Overall, Press critiques the role of mediation practiced by judge-mediators.
