Need for the Measurement of Displeasure in Development Planning

Abstract

Displeasure is a concept in emotion research, and has been studied over a long time. But this concept is not significantly addressed in planning and development except very few. In reality, displeasure leads to conflict, which in turn outbursts into violence, terrorism and so on. In this globalization era, displeasure of people around the world reaches the height, through corruption, unemployment, huge income disparity, high-priced medical care, etc. So, it is the time to look deep into it. This study is mainly designed to identify this particular problem. Different types of displeasure and their causes are discussed. Also, possible methods of measuring displeasure are indicated.
