Abstract
This article explores the child and adolescent psychiatric implications of attorney ethical codes and demonstrates that many legal rules regarding attorney professional responsibility actually exacerbate the psychopathology of child clients, witnesses, and victims. The article suggests modifications that can help ameliorate jurogenic effects that exacerbate child victims’ destabilized emotional health.
