Abstract
On September 30, 2010 Madras High Court gave a significant ruling in the case of Consim Info. v. Google India, regarding ‘Bharatmatrimony.com’ and ‘Tamilmatrimony.com’ as searchable keywords. Thus, answering a few questions regarding the usage of Trademarks as Searchable Keywords. This essay aims to analyse the situation while carrying out a comparative analysis among the European and the Indian laws.
