Abstract

What will a state Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) add to the existing law concerning protection of religious liberty in the workplace?

In this essay, I suggest that state RFRAs would give state and local employees significant more bargaining power as compared to Title VII or other state antidiscrimination laws. I will also identify and address potential conflicts state RFRAs might have with existing laws.
