Abstract

Today businesses are changing with the speed of thoughts, especially in term of technology and trends. Technological change is a constant phenomenon in contemporary organization. These accelerating changes have allowed theories and practitioners to envision new avenues in the field of HRM. This study investigated the employee development practices in Pakistani Banks. Inferences had drawn by the study show that banking sector in Pakistan lacking behind in terms of inculcating HRD concepts. On-the-job training was reported as the most frequently used training method. The discussion and the recommendations focus on the need for improved change management approach.
