Revisión de investigación de Gestión del Conocimiento (Knowledge Management Research Review)

Abstract

Information is critical to the survival and growth of organizations and individuals. The challenge for organizations is to process, manage and enhance the growing body of information and how to convert this information into actions that create value and to sustain the value through innovation and adaptation.

The issues of organizational learning (OL), Knowledge Management (KM) and Intellectual Capital (IC) are receiving increasing interest from both academia and enterprise, due to the influence of innovation and learning in achieving a competitive advantage for the company in the New Economy.

The literature on knowledge management and intellectual capital suggests that competitive advantage flows from the creation, ownership, protection, storage and use of certain resources based on knowledge of the organization are essential to superior performance of the organization.(Choo 1998, Davenport 1998, Drucker 1995, Edvinsson 1997, Frappaolo 2007, Nonaka 1995, 2007, Prusak 2001, Sveiby 2001)

The sustainable competitive advantage depends heavily on Knowledge and the ability of companies to be good at innovation, learning, protection, implementation, amplification and measuring these strategic intangible resources.

Knowledge management is a growing new field of application in enterprises, this study seeks a review of the principal investigators, current research and publications.
