Abstract

Trauma is an event that affect each individual differently even though it can be the same trauma. PTSD is the aftermath of trauma and that victim develops into a total different person from that one before the incident happened. Some people develop self-injurious behavior as well as devastating mental illness and narcissistic tendencies. A once well-mannered person will develop a dark personality to cope with that trauma and shield themselves against future trauma. Learning coping skills early will prevent a total breakdown of self who will eventually disappear in the aftermath. This paper explores that theory.
