Abstract
The UN’s Deputy Special Envoy for Haiti Paul Farmer wrote this book about the devastation, despair and chaotic failed state that Haiti has fallen to. But in the mist of it all, he shows how resilient the people are despite their poverty, illiteracy, victimization and illnesses. His book is an indictment of the economic roles that the global community has played in keeping this nation in such a failed state.
