Abstract

Thomas Stearns Eliot, or T.S. Eliot was born in 1888 in St. Louis, Missouri, England. He was the son of a prominent industrialist, Henry Ware Eliot, president of the Hydraulic-Press Brick Company, and Charlotte Champe Stearns. Eliot always expressed strong opinions about everything, right from his early childhood days (Margolis 59-60). He always wanted to stay back in England and with that purpose in mind he finally immigrated to England in 1914 and lived there until his death in 1965.
