Abstract
This paper is on the subject of Islamic Concept of Pledge. It is a ground reality that necessity may arise to take loan and the person giving such loan may ask for guarantee for its return. Such guarantee may not be of equal value and may be of more or less value than the amount of debt. In all human societies we have this concept. How Islam has put and developed it has been shown in this paper.
