Abstract

In Black Women, Gender Equity and the Function at the Junction, 6 MARQ. SPORTS L.J. 239 (1996), the author visited the intersection of race and gender in examining the impact of Title IX on Black female athletes. This article revisits the intersectionality issues presented by Title IX and primarily focuses on remedy. This article concludes with advocacy of the promulgation of regulations or a policy statement pursuant to both Title IX and Title VI to address racial and gender discrimination against African American female athletes.
