Abstract

The young Imtiaz began his career as a teacher in Delhi University, and after partition of the sub-continent he joined as lecturer in law in the Punjab University Law College (PULC) Lahore in 1948 and consumed every breath of him in spreading knowledge with discipline and decorum. Those close to him in any capacity cannot forget his noble and wise behaviour full of sincerity throughout. He has been a Principal of the PULC thrice (1956-1959; 1960-1974; 1977-1980). He has been Vice Chancellor of University of the Punjab and Quaid-i-Azam University. He was also a Chairman of the erstwhile University Grants Commission (UGC).

The personality of Professor Sh. Imtiaz Ali is reflected in this paper.
