Abstract
Significant resources by government and the private sector are being invested in broadband infrastructure to increase broadband deployment and utilization. Using a unique dataset of broadband availability by county, we assess whether broadband infrastructure affected industrial competitiveness of Kentucky counties. Our results suggest that broadband availability increases employment growth in some industries but not others.
