Abstract
This paper is focused on the increasing amount of data collected by governments and big private companies: the manuscript considers the strategic and economically relevant value of this information and the informational power held by only a few subjects. From this perspective the article suggests the adoption of adequate measures to control those who have this power, in order to limit possible abuse and illegitimate advantages, and, at the same time, to increase access to information, in order to spread informational power.
