Abstract

This paper is my rejoinder to a symposium in Dialogues in Human Geography on my book, Challenging Governance Theory: From Networks to Hegemony. The symposium includes contributions from Ismael Blanco, Maarten Loopmans, Mike Raco and Carlo Salone. The symposium reflects further on the place of networks in governance theory and the contribution of Gramscian thought to understanding contemporary governance.

Keywords: governance, networks, Gramsci, hegemony, democracy
