Abstract

This paper is meant to contribute to the existing specialized literature in the field and to put forward a methodology for approaching cultural elements in translation, namely to show how or when these elements should be approached in the translation process. The first two parts of the paper present an overview of translation methods and processes, and of the way culture is perceived in translation. The third part introduces and discusses the suggested methodology, while the advantages of its application are presented in the concluding part.
