Abstract
Women in recent years have, undoubtedly, proved themselves in all walks of life. However, women executives still have to cover a lot of ground. As per the report of Catalyst, the leading research and advocacy organization for corporate women, it will take 47 years to attain parity as corporate officers of Fortune 500 companies. The prime reason is gender discrimination that has unnoticeably engulfed most companies across the world. The research report released by Accenture revealed that women declare ‘gender barrier’ as still playing a key role in restraining their achievements at the workplace. In this article, an attempt has been made to discuss the realities of glass-ceiling and offer some remedial measures to break the glass.
