Abstract

English Abstract: We examine the Principal-Agent cases, where the principal is in a monopoly or perfect competition framework, and the information can be complete or not. In particular, the complete information case assumes that both actions and types are observed. Incomplete information is defined in two ways: when types are observedand the action is not (hidden action), and the case where neither the action nor the type are observed (hidden types or hidden information). In the "hidden action" case, the wage will be proportional to the result of the action. In "hidden information" case, the contract should encourage the agent to adopt the strategy that is preferred by the principal. All cases are explained with numerical examples in discrete and continuous settings.
