Abstract

This essay presents strategies and principles for the Republican Party, for use in 2016 and thereafter.

☞ Adherence to the United States Constitution, including a small United States government.

☞ Small state governments, with balanced budgets.

☞ Flat tax and free markets.

☞ Military expenditures for preparedness, not for allocation of defense contracts, and rejection of adventurism.

☞ Equal opportunity to work and succeed, not equality of results.

☞ Marriage only between a man and a woman.

☞ Education vouchers for parents of school-age children.

The Republican Party cannot be the party of American sovereignty, if it allows an open border.

The Republican Party cannot be the party of liberty under law, if it supports the Patriot Act, or allows the militarization of police forces.

The Republican Party cannot be the party of fiscal prudence, if it is profligate.
