Abstract

To enforce discipline in business, control systems are in place in all industries. The signature verification in banks, close circuit TV with camera attachment in international airport, metal detectors in front of five star hotels, security system in industrial manufacturing units, billing machines at shopping malls, maintenance of call logbook in the call centers are the examples of good management control system in industries. Management brings efficiency in all function of business, be it accounting, finance, marketing, operation, supply chain, human resource, infrastructure technology and banking. It is sometimes described in management text books that the role of a good executive is to get the work done through others. Executives perform lots of responsibilities simultaneously such as planning, directing, organizing, staffing and controlling. Each of these responsibilities calls for a control system in the organization.
