Abstract
The legal profession has changed dramatically in the last twenty-five years. As economic changes have taken place in the manner in which goods and services are delivered to the American public, law firms have expanded in an effort to serve their national and multinational corporate clients. The large firms have opened offices in different jurisdictions either to follow their clients or to provide representation in different markets. Individuals and legal institutions have also participated in this nationalization of the practice of law.
