Abstract

Maryland has a unique Right-to-Farm law in that not only has the Maryland legislature passed a Right-to-Farm law, but each county has passed their own right-to-farm ordinance. This feature has caused confusion among not only farmers but the general public and in many cases of the law not being applied consistently across counties. This article is to help members of the agricultural community and their neighbors understand the purpose and the limits of Maryland's Right-to-Farm law.
