Abstract
This 1997 article discusses the experiences of the author as an African-American student at Columbia Law School. The author discusses the differing treatment he received from faculty and students during his legal studies, going into detail regarding particular courses and experiences that highlight the discrimination present in law schools. He parallels his own memorialization with Scott Turow’s "One L: The Turbulent True Story of a First Year at Harvard Law School."
