Abstract

Education which is considered to be the basic need for every human being is under discussions. Various debates have taken place and numerous instruments have been made in this regard at the national, regional and international level but the real fruit of education has not been achieved by the vulnerable group of the society. De jure, the right to education, in India, became a fundamental right before ten years but due to the apathy on the part of legislature, it took more time and after eight years this right was effectuated through an enactment which is considered a historic legislation. This legislation has many expectations of common people of India which is in fulfillment of constitutional mandate.
