Abstract

The availability of system information and other artifactual knowledge, together with tools for knowledge acquisition, analysis and transformation, provides opportunities for deferring some design decisions and for an automated or semi-automated tuning, specialization and evolution of software models and other artifacts. We consider a conceptual framework for an integrated software evolution and adaptation infrastructure, and provide examples of its possible use.
