Abstract
A federal civil remedy, Masha's Law, provides statutory damages of $150,000 for each violation of federal criminal child pornography statutes. This paper discusses how child pornography damages victims, the background and history of Masha's Law (18 U.S.C. 2255), basic strategies for filing and successfully prosecuting a legal action under Masha's Law, and constitutional challenges, corporate liability and foreign plaintiffs.
