Abstract

This research reveals Washington Metropolitan Area's competitiveness by studying two groups of students: international students and foreign-born students. An international student is an individual who is in higher education in the U.S. on a non-immigrant visa, and a foreign-born student is an individual who is enrolled in higher education and was born outside of the U.S. territories to non-U.S. parents.
