Abstract

In this article, I consider to what extent the fundamental right to privacy applies to economic transactions in EU law. After considering the relevant case law of the European Court of Human Rights, I examine various areas of EU law: data protection, business secrets, inspections and the right to a reputation.

Keywords: EU law, fundamental rights, privacy, data protection, competition law, economic actors
