Russian Abstract: Работа посвящена анализу спроса на деньги в России в период с 1995 по 2010 г., в том числе исследуется вопрос о том, оказывает ли использование платежных карт населением России значимое влияние на спрос на наличные деньги. Полученные результаты свидетельствуют о том, что денежный агрегат М1 может быть использован в качестве инструмента при проведении денежно-кредитной политики.

English Abstract: This publication deals with the money demand in Russia from 1995 through 2010. Specifically, the work addresses the issue whether the use of payment cards has a significant impact on the money demand. The results indicate that the monetary aggregate M1 can be a tool in conducting monetary policy)
