Abstract

These days, nearly all methodical standards are subject to critical evaluations. Whatever be their configuration or approach, organisations are realising that performance of individual makes a difference between accomplishment and collapse. With increased emphasis on technology, quality and service, organisations are departing from operating where uncertainty, risk and complexity have become a fact of life. Pressure of competition and globalisation are forcing scientific organisations to match international standard. Workforce calls for intellectual, competent and self-directed individuals to assume responsibility as per changing demands of work situation. This paper calls for a restructured model of Training and Research and puts on view the process of Training Need Identification process that need to be adopted by techno-managerial institutions and proposes a model which will be practical to implement in line with organisational objectives keeping ‘Training Effectiveness Evaluation’ exercise in contemplation.
