Abstract
The present note describes a minor extension of Raith’s adjusted Knaster method to handle the problem of different entitlements. We prove that a suitable split of the excess ensures the equitability of the resulting division, i.e. the players receive the same relative increment above the fraction to which they are entitled. Moreover, each player’s share of the total value of received items is equal to his share of the total excess.
