Abstract
Commercialization is observed to increase income of farmers but did not generate robust improvement on welfare except in terms of improvement in house roof type. It did not lead to increased livestock ownership but possibly is leading to increased cash saving. In other side it is observed to have negative effect on gender empowerment. The effect on level of technical efficiency on stable crop production is not robust and our result is inconclusive.
