Abstract

The article presents an examination into Black people's lack of participation in fantasy sports. Fantasy sport is a leisure activity for sports fans looking for an additional medium in which to consume and interact with professional sport. It is estimated to be an 800 million U.S. dollar industry in the U.S. and Canada. A Simmons Market Research report discovered that Blacks attend professional and major college sporting events at a rate below that of other consumers.
