English Abstract: The aim of our study is to examine the impact of the oil revenues on the standard of living in oil-exporting countries of the former Soviet Union, Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, and to make policy suggestions based on the findings to be obtained. Is there a long-run relationship between the oil revenues and the standard of living in these countries? What is the role of dynamics of the oil revenues in the standard of living in the short run? What is the magnitude of speed of adjustment, if any, from the short-run deviations towards long-run equilibrium path. We are going to answer the above-mentioned questions by applying cointegration and error correction method to the data of these countries.
