Abstract

This is a wake-up call. It points to the most imminent critical issues for the European Union’s peaceful survival and suggest a new vision. It is addressed to the leaders of the European Union.

The authors distance themselves from the host of tenuous condemnations of the European project.

The publication is based on a recent The Global Round Table discussion and takes the outcome of the 2014 European Parliament election into account.

The authors and supporters of the wake-up call include experienced national leaders at the highest level, civil society leaders and academicians.

Keywords: European Union, wake-up call, new vision, new renaissance for Europe.
