Abstract

This article focuses on the recommendations for reform that were highlighted during the Government Law Center at Albany Law School's first symposium on SEQRA, which brought together a diverse number of the best stakeholder representatives who were knowledgeable in the intricacies and nuances of environmental review in New York and who could collectively develop a reform agenda to ensure the continued viability of New York State's environmental review program. By recording the options for reform that were discussed, this article creates a lasting memorial of the many excellent ideas that were offered and will hopefully serve to aid lawmakers and policymakers desirous of meaningful reform.
