How does the state regulate religion and church -especially the prevalent orthodox christianism and its church in Greece? Which is the meaning and content of the principle of "state-law rule" that governs the relationship between the Greek state and the Greek Church? Which is the content of freedom of religion and its deficits?

Note: These are the main questions answered in this article, which is to be published as part of the "Brill’s Encyclopedia of Law and Religion" (2014).
