Abstract

Companies rely heavily on the performance of their supply networks. This makes it crucial to source from the best suppliers and to constantly monitor supplier performance during collaboration. Supplier ranking therefore plays an important role, as it consolidates various input variables to capture expected risk or performance. Given the existence of errors in input variables, the validity of results depends on the sensitivity of a specific supply risk. In this paper we derive frequency distribution functions in order to investigate their effect on supplier ranking. Data is available from case study research within the European automotive industry.
