Abstract

Myanmar has been called the last frontier in Asia as developers quickly enter the new market. The country was previously under military rule and had tough sanctions imposed to bring democracy to Myanmar. This paper will explore the history of Myanmar leading to sanctions, the effects of those sanctions, and recommend better foreign policy tools for working with countries in the future.
