Abstract

Background: This study was designed to test the relationship between the use of internet and the psychological health of university students in south West Bank.

Method: The study was cross-sectional, 144 participants were chosen using convenience sampling from three universities in south West Bank.

Results: Data were analyzed using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS). The result revealed that there is a significant relationship between the internet use and the psychological health of the students, manifested by the statements of higher means were related to pressures and stress that the internet put on students on their life's.

Conclusion: Internet use has negative and positive impact on educational, social and psychological factors of students. However, advantages of internet were shown to be higher than disadvantages.
