Abstract
This case note looks at the issue of whether coercion by an attorney in mediation is the subject of "advocate's immunity". In this case the plaintiff alleged that his attorney gave him negligent advice that caused him to settle the dispute to his detriment. The defendants sought an order dismissing the application on the basis that the advice to settle was protected by advocate's immunity.
